Delicately crafted with an openwork pattern in a style that blends East and West, this piece of jewellery adorns the neck with a light and refined presence. Its delicate design subtly enhances the wearer's posture. A creation made in partnership with a collective of women in Turkey who are skilled in the art of tuque lace-making. Through its exclusive creations, Karawan supports the transmission and professionalisation of a craft that has long been overlooked, relegated to the status of a domestic pastime.

The Oya

Promoting women's work

A delicate choker-style necklace with openwork motifs inspired by a style that blends East and West. Adjustable size 31-34 cm to perfectly adorn your neck. Delivered in a handmade screen-printed Nepalese paper gift bag, with a flyer on the history of the collection.

Oya lace jewellery was born from a fusion of Turkish lace-making tradition and the traveller's perspective of Christine Delpal, creator of the Karawan brand. Her encounter with Hanifa and her sisters, villagers from Anatolia, was a natural fit. They shared a desire to pass on and support the professionalisation of exceptional traditional female skills, which are often too limited to the domestic sphere.

Viscose thread and seed beads. Brass logo medallion. This thread is particularly strong. The jewellery can therefore be washed with soapy water if necessary.
