‘Oya’ refers to a traditional form of Ottoman lace originating in Anatolia. It is made using a needle or crochet hook with intricate patterns. Christine Delpal, the creator of Karawan, develops her collections with a collective of women from Anatolia, with a view to promoting and professionalising this exceptional feminine craftsmanship, which has been overlooked for too long. Designed as an everyday or festive accessory, this choker affirms a soft and unique femininity.
