Karawan's deco collections: the art of hospitality and of transforming materials by hand.

At Karawan we know that objects are more than just things. They shape and express our way of life. They define moments, trace experiences and tell stories. They are an integral part of who we are. Our collections are exclusive creations, or one-off pieces, bearing witness to exceptional craftsmanship, designed with eco-design in mind. Handcrafted from brass, blown glass or recycled tyres, woven and spun from nettle or silk, and inspired by the nomadic lifestyle, they are a source of elegance and authenticity that express your personality.

Brass

The exclusive Shams collection, designed by Karawan in brass, bears witness to the ancestral art of copperware from one of the last workshops in Delhi's old Chandni Chok bazaar. A harmony of bowls, glasses, dishes and trays, inspired by the motifs of oriental art and the nomadic way of life. Objects with a strong identity that move from one room to another, blending the useful with the pleasurable.

Recycled aluminium

This collection of candleholders, vases and boxes is made in India from recycled aluminium. Combine these pieces or isolate an object for a sunny touch, with its matt gold colour and hammered finish. An example of an eco-friendly alternative that combines sustainability and modernity to create strong, festive and luminous pieces.

Blown glass

From our workshop in Firozabad, India, we create our designs to enhance the magnificent work of the glassblowers. Mouth-blown recycled glass breathes new life into the material. The vibrant colours and organic shapes of our candle holders and vases capture the light from their hand-crafted facets, radiating an exceptional sparkle.

Textile woven from nettle

Our cushions in nettle and wild silk are the fruit of a unique creative process and the social valorisation of natural fibres in the heights of the Himalayan villages in northern India. A timeless, elegant and modern design with a tweed motif that revisits the herringbone weave.

Tinned copper

Working with tin-plated red copper in Syria is a tradition associated with the culinary arts. Tinning protects the material from oxidation and gives our pieces a finish that is both bright and irregular, a testament to the craftsman's hand. Everyday utilitarian objects that demonstrate great durability.

Recycled tyres

Working with Vietnamese craftsmen, Karawan uses upcycling to transform used tyres into functional, eco-responsible objects. Boxes, planters, cubbies... These pieces showcase a talent for recovering and intelligently reusing materials. Incorporate them into your space, and they'll roll from room to room!

Timber

Unique wooden items for storing and transporting Ghee butter. Utilitarian objects, symbols of life in the Himalayas, revisited for a contemporary decor with a travel spirit, a reminder of the closeness of a faraway place.
