First and foremost, we want to share our fascination with Indian textile craftsmanship. We carefully seek out and select antique fabrics and rare pieces. We offer you our favourite batik, block print, dye reserve and overprint patterns... which no industrial manufacturing process can match. The soul of things made with the heart, one step at a time, with patience. Then comes the pleasure of creating sketches, drawing silhouettes with clean lines. This is how bold cardigans, kimono-style jackets and boleros are born, marked by an attention to detail. The garment comes to life, hugging the body, following its movements and telling a story. It becomes yours, an artistic imprint on your skin.
Wooden yak butter pots
In the high plateaus of the Himalayas in Tibet and Nepal, nomadic shepherds carry their supply of yak butter in these hand-turned wooden pots. It is the main ingredient in a beverage that is prepared throughout the day, mixed with strongly brewed black tea and salt. Now fallen into disuse, the pots were also used to collect yak milk and churn butter. Each of these antique pieces is unique, with its slender silhouette or rounded base and hand-carved lid. More than just decorative objects, these pots are fragments of another place and time with a powerful narrative. They complement all kinds of contemporary or ethnic décor.
