Ebène fouta is characterised by its flat weave. This weaving method produces a linen with a smooth, uniform texture. The hand-knotted fringes give the fouta an authentic, traditional touch.
Our foutas from the Ebène collection are woven in Turkey by a semi-artisanal weaving unit with which Karawan develops its exclusive collections in organic cotton. The workshop employs around thirty people. The entire manufacturing process is GOTS-certified, guaranteeing ethical working conditions, wages and regulations that respect people and the environment.
