The Karawan style

A unique contemporary style that blends influences

Unbound by fashion codes and fickle trends, Christine continues to create an eclectic and refined universe rich in meaning. Drawing on intuition and experience, she borrows ornamentation, floral and geometric motifs from Eastern graphic arts, blending them with a love of handcrafted items, the sensoriality of textures and scents, and vibrant colours bursting with light. Each object has a meaning to be discovered: that of the nature that created it, that of the women and men who worked on its material, and that of our intentions invested in each of our collections as part of a comprehensive corporate approach.

  • The mixed signature of a visual journey that combines opposites, between simplicity and ornamentation. The authenticity of a sober style rich in bold expressions.
  • A timeless art of living, made to last, which reinvents the lines between here and elsewhere, between tradition and modernity, feminine and masculine.
  • The vision of a free, conscious beauty, linked to well-being and sharing, capable of inspiring our quest for harmony and balance.

"Stops in Turkey, Morocco, Syria, India, Nepal, and Vietnam. I stop in workshops and hidden courtyards, where artisans hammer, sew, polish... I meet skilled, patient, meticulous hands, especially those of women who keep the craft alive and pass on their knowledge.

Along the way, I weave and blend currents of inspiration so that East and West continue to enrich each other in a dialogue that is constantly being reinvented. With a discerning eye, attentive to local resources and the constraints of each individual, in contexts that are often fragile but rich in potential, I design new collections that resonate with the communities or families with whom I share real moments of life and creation."
