The Oya signature

The design of this textile bracelet, created by Karawan, is inspired by Oya, traditional Ottoman lace from Anatolia, renowned for the delicacy and complexity of its patterns. ‘Oya’ refers to a traditional form of lace originating in Anatolia, commonly used to decorate the edges of scarves. It is made using a needle or crochet hook with intricate patterns often embellished with beads. Husnu translates as both “excellence” and ‘beauty’.
