OYA lace is made by Anatolian villagers using very fine needlework, with a thread accented with pearls to highlight the motifs. A floral design, like vines of flowers and leaves to honour the 4 seasons!

This Kapadokya lace long necklace is inspired by Cappadocia: the colours of the land, the spectacular landscapes and the embroidery that women wear around their scarves. The lace necklace is an exclusive model that matches the Kapadokya earrings.

Oya lace jewellery is the result of a combination of traditional Turkish lacemaking and the traveller's eye of Christine Delpal, designer of the Karawan brand. Meeting Hanifa and her sisters, villagers from Anatolia, was an obvious choice. It was a shared desire to pass on and support the professionalisation of exceptional traditional women's skills, which are often too restricted to the domestic sphere.
