OYA lace is crocheted using very fine hooks by village women in Anatolia, using strong, shiny viscose thread. Karawan's textile jewellery collections pay tribute to the Turkish lace-making tradition. An exclusive design inspired by the travels of Christine Delpal, the brand's creator.

A creation by Karawan inspired by encounters with women from Anatolia who traditionally decorate their fouards with crocheted patterns. This was immediately followed by a shared desire to pass on and support the professionalisation of exceptional traditional female skills, which are often too limited to the domestic sphere. Thus, the Oya collection was born from the blending of our different perspectives.
