Karawan's natural alum stone is hand-polished from the purest part of the mineral. It can be used as a natural deodorant and after shave. Alum regulates secretions and neutralises perspiration odours while allowing the skin to breathe. Unlike traditional deodorants, Karawan alum stone contains no artificial fragrances or synthetic additives.

Karawan's natural alum stone is :
- Astringent: alum stone tightens pores and acts as an anti-perspirant against excessive perspiration. It reduces sweating without stopping it completely.
- Anti-bacterial: alum neutralises the bacterial growth that causes unpleasant odours by balancing the skin's pH.
- Haemostatic: it heals micro-cuts caused by shaving or depilation.
Karawan's potassium alum stone is used to soothe irritation caused by shaving. As a deodorant, polished alum stone can be applied daily to various parts of the body, such as underarms, hands and feet. It is non-irritating, non-sticky and leaves no marks on clothing.
After showering, wet the alum stone and apply it for 5 to 10 seconds to areas that are prone to perspiration or that need to be healed. After use, place the stone in a dry place or hang it on its string.

Made in Panama and extracted from quarries, Karawan natural alum stone is composed of a double sulphate of potassium and hydrated aluminium. Hydrated aluminium is in a stable form that does not bind to the skin, and is one of the main constituents of clay.
