Karawan's organic argan oil is a first cold-pressed plant oil.
Thanks to its very high concentration of essential fatty acids and Vitamin E, argan is a powerful antioxidant that combats dry skin. This skin care oil has emollient and protective properties.
Karawan argan oil is certified organic, enriching the skin, increasing its elasticity and reducing imperfections. Firming and softening, it fortifies the skin and adds shine and lustre to the hair’.
A versatile treatment oil for the face, body, hair and nails.
Ideally applied after a black soap scrub to revitalise and moisturise the skin. A few drops are all you need to replace a night cream or day care product. Spread a bead of oil over the face and neck, using gentle upward strokes. It penetrates quickly without leaving a greasy film.
For dry hair, apply and leave on for 30 minutes, then wash with shampoo. To strengthen soft, brittle nails, soak them in a mixture of argan oil and lemon juice.

Argan
A treasure of Morocco, argan oil comes from the argan tree, an endemic species in the south of the country. Sensitive to high temperatures, it is grown mainly in the Agadir region. The fruit is harvested from early July to late August. Argan oil, extracted from the fruit, is renowned for its cosmetic and dietary benefits, thanks to its high content of essential fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamins. Used for centuries by Moroccan women to enhance their hair and nourish their skin, it is now an integral part of beauty routines the world over.
A traditional extraction process
The oil is extracted using a traditional method, handed down from generation to generation to Moroccan women who work in local cooperatives. A strong cultural heritage gives argan oil its exceptional quality. The fruit, known as almonds, is harvested, sorted and then crushed by hand to produce a dense paste. This paste is then cold-pressed to extract the much sought-after oil.
A fair and socially responsible production chain
The global cosmetics industry has seized this treasure. Not all products benefit the local population in the same way. Karawan has developed its own argan production chain with a cooperative in southern Morocco, in which women are involved in the value produced throughout the processing chain, from collection to pressing and marketing. This cooperative, which is also certified organic, offers all the guarantees of a fair and high-quality approach. Women in rural areas have access to income that gives them greater autonomy.
