This unadorned tray of light, with its fluid lines, creates an impression of purity. Inspired by nomadic hospitality, it's a story of welcoming gestures and conviviality waiting to be told. Shams trays spread out with the guests, expanding the space. Or, leaning against a wall, they become a decorative ornament that tells a story.

The Moon signature

The brass surface is turned, hammered and polished in a succession of passes. The hand-polishing creates a smooth, irregular solar vibration that makes each piece unique. This unadorned tray of light, with its fluid lines, exudes an impression of purity.

The Arabesk, Moon and Palmyr brass trays combine contemporary minimalism with the refinement of the exceptional craftsmanship of Indian copperware makers. 3 sizes to suit your needs. Placed on a stool, on support legs or on a coffee table, the trays can be moved from one room to another, stored against a wall and used to create a decor with character.

The Kamal family workshop, in Delhi's old bazaar, perpetuates the traditional skills of brass coppersmithing, an art passionately handed down from father to son for 5 generations. Christine Delpal, founder of Karawan, created the Shams collection with the aim of supporting this art form, which has become so exceptional that it is threatened by industrialisation.
