Olive and laurel Aleppo soaps

Discover our range of Aleppo soaps made exclusively from olive and bay laurel oils, combined in various proportions. These exceptional soaps are authentically handcrafted to cleanse, soften and nourish the skin for everyday use on the face, body and hands. The olive gives Aleppo soap all its noble qualities.

Olive and laurel oils

Aleppo soaps with olive and laurel oils are made using a traditional saponification method—a natural chemical reaction that transforms oils into solid soap. In winter, the oils are pressed and then cooked in a cauldron. The resulting paste is poured onto the ground in large sheets. During this dry, cold season, it solidifies in 24 hours, before being cut by hand into 200g blocks. The colour of the soap changes from green to brown as it matures. Having dried for 9 months, the soap floats in water and lasts a long time.

Benefits of Aleppo soap

Noble olive and bay laurel oils are carefully selected by Karawan. Our soaps wash, soften and nourish the skin all at the same time. Their aromatic balsamic fragrance is the signature of their quality. Olive oil, rich in essential fatty acids, moisturises and soothes the skin, while bay laurel oil, renowned for its purifying and regulating properties, protects and softens the skin.
