Earrings "Nuit des temps"

Brass and zirconium earrings, handmade

Pieces from the dawn of time, as if just unearthed. Thrown up from mid-eastern plains, roughed up by sand and the passing of time. Born of inspiration drawn from bygone days, the collection pays tribute to ancient treasure disinterred by archaeologists.

En savoir +

These four worlds of jewellery exquisitely project the oriental influences that came to us via the legendary Silk Route. While travelling, karawan designer christine delpal loves to mingle day-to-day inspiration with her discoveries in ethnic museum collections. We perceive hints of great civilisations dating from ancient times that have fuelled her inspiration for these pieces in brass, in which past and present coalesce and borders blend.

Composition

As a copper and zinc alloy, brass has been used in Africa, China and in the Mediterranean basin since prehistoric times. It conjures up dreams of ancient treasure offered up from the past.
